  Corticosteroids, ELISA Kit
  PN 5081C, Microtiter Plate (96T)
Synthetic corticosteroids are widely used in livestock breeding to treat inflammatory diseases. MRLs for Dexamethasone in milk, tissue/kidney and liver are 0.3, 0.5 and 2.5 ng/kg respectively. Corticosteroids are found in cattle feed and are suspected to be used as growth-promoters. In all European Community countries however, the use of growth promoters has been banned since 1986. The generic Corticosteroid-EIA is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the screening of feed, milk and urine on the presence of the following Corticosteroids (% of cross-reactivity): Flumethasone (125%), Dexamethasone (100%), Betamethasone (93%), Triamcinolone (33%) and Prednisolone (21). The dose-response curve shows a measuring range for Dexamethasone of 0.125-4 ng/ml or 6-200 pg/well. Milk can be used directly in this test with a sensitivity down to 0.15 ng/ml. For cattle feed samples, extraction methods are described in the manual and sensitivities down to 20 ng/g can be obtained. Urine samples can be applied after a dilution in buffer or after an HPLC fractionation. Tissue samples need an three phase extraction and clean up procedure.

  Diethylstilbestrol, ELISA Kit
  PN 5081D, Microtiter Plate (96T)
Diethylstilbestrol (DES), together with dienestrol and hexestrol belongs to the group of stilbenes. Increased weight gain and improved feed conversion after administration of DES has been observed in cattle, chicken and lambs. However, in the EC the use of anabolics has been banned, and especially DES has been banned in all countries due to its carcinogenic properties. The DES EIA can be used for the screening of urine samples on the presence of the following stilbenes (% of cross-reactivity): Diethylstilbestrol (100%), Hexestrol (25%) and Dienestrol (15%). The DES EIA shows no cross-reactivity (< 0.1%) for Zeranol, 19- Nortestosterone, Progesterone, Cortisol and Testosterone. Detection limits down to 0.2 ng/ml urine can be reached.

The Gentamicin EIA is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the screening of a.o. milk and tissue samples on the presence of this broad spectrum antibiotic. The dose-response curve shows a measuring range of 0.1-10 ng/ml or 5 to 500 pg/well. The Gentamicin EIA shows a 25% cross-reactivity towards Sisomycin. The EIA shows no cross-reactivity (< 0.1%) towards other aminoglycosides (Neomycin, Kanamycin, Streptomycin, Dihydrostreptomycin, Tobramycin and Amikazin). Defatted and diluted milk can be applied directly into the test with a detection limit of approximately 2 ng/ml.

The Neomycin EIA is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the screening of a.o. milk and tissue samples on the presence of this broad spectrum antibiotic. The dose-response curve shows a measuring range of 0.5-50 ng/ml or 25 to 2500 pg/well. The Neomycin EIA shows no cross-reactivity (< 0.1%) towards other aminoglycosides (Gentamicin, Kanamycin, Streptomycin, Dihydrostreptomycin, Sisomycin, Tobramycin and Amakizin). Defatted and diluted milk can be applied directly into the test with a detection limit of approximately 2 ng/ml.

  19-Nortestosterone, ELISA Kit
  PN 5082N, Microtiter Plate (96T)
The 19-Nortestosterone EIA is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the screening of urine samples on the presence of 19-Nortestosterone residues like 17beta-19-Nortestosterone, 17alpha-19-Nortesterone and 19-Norandrostenedione. The dose-response curve shows a measuring range for 17beta-19-Nortestosterone of 0.05-2.0 ng/ml or 2.5-100 pg/ well. Large amounts of urine samples can be screened in a short time for the presence of 17beta-19-Nortestosterone and its major metabolites. To reduce the influence of other urine compounds a column clean up (C-18 Bakerbond) is recommended. Depending on sample preparation procedure a sensitivity down to 0.5 ng/ml can be reached.

  Progesterone, ELISA Kit
  PN 5081P, Microtiter Plate (96T)
Progesterone from the ovarian corpus luteum plays a key physiological role in animal reproduction. Knowledge of progesterone level can provide valuable information for reproductive management of dairy cattle. The dose-response curve of the Progesterone-EIA shows a measuring range of 0.05 - 10 ng/ml and milk samples can be analysed directly for the concentration of progesterone at the relevant levels between 0.1 - 10 ng/ml.

The dose-response curve of the Sulfadiazine shows a measuring range of 0.2 - 10 ng/ml. The antibodies show high cross-reactivities towards sulfamerazine (75%) and the major metabolite N4-acetyl-sulfadiazine. Other sulfonamides show low cross-reactivities: sulfathiazole (3%), sulfa-methazine (0.5%), sulfapyrine (0.5%), sulfamethoxy-diazine (0.5%), sulfamethoxine (< 0.1%), sulfadoxine (< 0.1%), sulfaguanidine (< 0.1%), sulfamethoxazole (< 0.1%), sulfaquinoxaline (< 0.1%). Sample treatment is similar to the Sulfamethazine-EIA.

  Trenbolone, ELISA Kit
  PN 5081T, Microtiter Plate (96T)
Trenbolone is a xenobiotic anabolic compound with androgenic growth promoting activities which is prohibited from use in the EC member states. Following cross-reactivities were demonstrated for this Trenbolone EIA: 17-beta-Trenbolone (100%), 17-alpha-Trenbolone (63%), Altrenogest (38%), 19- Nortestosterone (2%). Endogenous androgen had less than 0.01 % cross-reactivity. In urine samples, Trenbolone can be demonstrated up to a sensitivity of 0.5 ng/ml, after a simple extraction method.

PN 52256B, Microtiter Plate (96T) [info...] [user guide...]

  Zeranol, ELISA Kit
  PN 5081Z, Microtiter Plate (96T)
Zeranol is a xenobiotic anabolic agent, which is legally used in several countries. However, in the EC the anabolics are banned since 1986. Because of close structural resemblance the antibody cross-reacts with both Zeranol and and the mycotoxine Zearalenone and their main metabolites. In cattle (veal calves) the occurrence of zearalenone is rare if well defined feed is administered (milk replacers and soy proteins). The Zeranol EIA is recommended for the screening of urine samples on the presence of Zeranol (100%), Taleranol (133%), Zearalanone (100%), Alpha-Zearalenol (90%), Zearalenone (75%) and Beta-Zearalenol (70%). Stilbenes show a cross-reactivity of less than 0.01% (Diethylstilbestrol, Hexestrol and Dienestrol). 17Beta-Oestradiol, Progesterone and Testosterone cross-react < 0.01%. With this Zeranol EIA a sensitivity of up to 0.1 ng/ml urine can be obtained.
